Hi Agave developers,
Just a reminder that today during the maintenance period, which is 8:00am MST to 5:00pm MST, we will be switching agave.iplantc.org to a new Science APIs authentication server. Once the change goes through, all you need to do is update your client key and secret. If you have any questions or issues, please email the mailing list, or contact me directly at jfonner at tacc.utexas.edu
While this update is mostly behind the scenes, there are a couple of important action items for Cyverse users:
1) After the update, users of the Discovery Environment that go to the HPC section of the Apps catalog will be prompted to login again using your Cyverse credentials. You must login again to view and use HPC applications. This extra login is a one-time step.
2) Users that interact with the Cyverse Science APIs on the command line will need to generate a new client key and secret. All existing client credentials will no longer work after the update.
If you are running a service that relies on the Science APIs and need to get things working early, you can already check out the new server. It is located at iplantc-org.tenants.prod.agaveapi.co. All the API endpoints are identical; it is only the client keys and secrets (and thus, tokens) that need to be updated.
If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know. I'll be watching things all day and am happy to answer any questions or help however I can.
Thanks,
John Fonner
