[Iplant-api-dev] job failures

I am getting failures of API jobs because it isn't connecting to the Data Store within the job. I am seeing a failure of the same commands within jobs on TACC (Lonestar). I can run the commands (icommands) written into the job scripts and they work fine, but within the job scripts they fail repeatedly.  module load irods is run as part of the jobs. Sample output on  Lonestar script:
+ iget -fT /iplant/home/rogerab/applications/Ray2.2.0/bin/Ray
ERROR: _rcConnect: connectToRhost error, server on data.iplantcollaborative.org is probably down status = -347000 USER_SOCK_CONNECT_TIMEDOUT
+ iget -fTr /iplant/home/shared/iplantcollaborative/example_data/Ray2.2.0/Reads
ERROR: _rcConnect: connectToRhost error, server on data.iplantcollaborative.org is probably down status = -347000 USER_SOCK_CONNECT_TIMEDOUT
