<div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_extra"><div class="gmail_quote">Colleagues,<br><br>A few of us from ISU and U Tokyo are organizing a workshop on machine learning for Cyber-Agricultural Systems (<a href="https://sites.google.com/site/afitamlcas2018" target="_blank">https://sites.google.com/site<wbr>/afitamlcas2018</a>) that will be held as a part of the 2018 Asia-Pacific Federation for Information Technology in Agriculture(AFITA) and World Congress on Computers in Agriculture (WCCA). <br><br>This year, the conference will be collocated in <u>Mumbai, India</u> from October 24-26, 2018. Our workshop will be held on Oct 25, 2018. <br><br>We encourage NAPPN colleagues to consider attending this workshop. The deadline for extended abstracts for oral/poster presentations is Aug 20. We are waiting to hear from USDA about travel funds to support students/post-docs/junior faculty to attend this.<br><br>Our plan is for several high level staff from funding  agencies from USDA-NIFA (USA), JST/NARO (Japan), and DST (India) to present their strategic vision and collaborative funding plans at this meeting. <br><br>Finally, October in Mumbai is beautiful. We look forward to have you join us in India this October.<br><br>Best<br>Baskar, Soumik, Danny<br><br>------------------------------<wbr>------<br><div><br></div>
