This work has brought together computer scientists and plant scientists, including geneticists and agronomists, to build a solution for handling Genotype to Phenotype data. It reconciles the need of an easy to use solution, close to the researcher's mindset, with machine actionable constraints to enable large scale exchange and processing.

(i)        Encourage and coordinate development of the MIAPPE standard and a corresponding tool set.
(ii)       Create and scope working groups and the appointment of working group leaders.
(iii)      Release official new versions of the standard.
(iv)      Disseminate the MIAPPE standard to the scientific community.
(v)       Arrange Annual General Meetings and elections of the Steering Committee.
Any members of the MIAPPE Community can actively form working groups and make suggestions without necessarily being a member of the Steering Committee.

The SC wishes to launch elections to appoint 2 new members to replace colleagues stepping down and bring a new set of expertise andvisions.
