Dear NAPPN Community Members,

The NAPPN committee for Equity, Inclusivity, and Diversity (EID) is excited to announce the 30-day Better Allyship Challenge during the month of November! Motivated by the 21-Day Better Listening Challenge<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https*3A*2F*2F21dayequitychallenge.com*2F21-day-better-listening-challenge*2F&data=05*7C01*7Cjennifer.lachowiec*40montana.edu*7C737ba60f61ed46fddeb008da5e93b5e8*7C324aa97a03a644fc91e43846fbced113*7C0*7C0*7C637926286811947508*7CUnknown*7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0*3D*7C2000*7C*7C*7C&sdata=3u6gmuohc*2FdeTC9kMMHTeXwFhx*2F2ziDf7WtG0iTigyE*3D&reserved=0__;JSUlJSUlJSUlJSUlJSUlJSUlJSUlJSU!!PvXuogZ4sRB2p-tU!A6JW2qZJ-8PvZmGBHZreNX306PaPWUVsawx7wHWJ3nUfMNo5836LMDO8TJds9B44qTQfVdJqlysaHEukAiVrABPtyr5d-OQ$> and #ListenMoore, this engaging challenge will prepare you to be an effective and courageous ally. This Challenge will commence on November 1st and conclude on November 30th, 2022.

How does this work? Here are the basics:

  * Engage in a brief allyship activity at least once every few days during the course of the challenge. Ideas for challenge activities are posted on the NAPPN EID challenge website<https://www.plantphenotyping.org/eid-challenges>.

  * You don’t need to sign up and you can join at any time. However, if you do sign up through the website during the first week of the challenge and provide your mailing address, we will send you an EID sticker to celebrate your participation! All you need to do to qualify for a sticker is tweet at least once during the challenge about a challenge activity that you completed using the hashtag #diversityNAPPN. And feel free to tag others!
  * The EID Committee members will be sending daily tweets to keep the team motivated.

Thanks in advance for your participation and support for EID within the plant phenotyping community!

Sincerely,

NAPPN EID Committee
