Hi Plant Phenotyping Community,

The NAPPN Annual Conference Organizers met yesterday to discuss the conference format in light of the ongoing COVID situation.

We are writing to confirm that we will continue to offer a hybrid/blended format with both in-person and virtual attendance options. Individuals are encouraged to choose the attendance option with which they feel most comfortable. As we mentioned previously, the integration of virtual components is designed to enhance the in-person experience and maximize engagement while allowing those who aren’t ready or not permitted to travel but still want to experience the conference to do so. We are committed to returning to in-person events in a responsible and safe manner.

Scientific presentations and workshops will be in person (travel permitting). In person attendees will enjoy interactions with exhibitors and colleagues, our public science cafes, and the local Athens environment (wonderful outdoor weather!). Remote/virtual attendees will have access to the online Whova platform where they can interact with other attendees and sponsors and access streamed content. All scientific presentations including plenary talks and a limited number of community events will be streamed live.

We will also be offering a pre-recorded workshop on Plant Phenotypes that features both domestic and international presentations. This will be available through Whova throughout the duration of the conference.

We have >110 attendees who have registered with >75% in person. Woohoo! To learn more about the conference including registration please visit https://www.plantphenotyping.org/conference-home<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/www.plantphenotyping.org/conference-home__;!!PvXuogZ4sRB2p-tU!QGPvw3HXcaF5mRfGjeUmyNL79PmWQsw1NxQk-ylgTj_nYFi7n0LIFhbJxH9JUcWy$>

Note that all in-person attendees MUST be vaccinated and show proof of a negative COVID test within 72 hours of the conference. We have arranged for large rooms to accommodate safe distancing. We will follow all local public health COVID regulations and guidance.

Thank you in advance to our wonderful sponsors and supportive scientific community!

Sincerely,

Jennifer Clarke on behalf of NAPPN
