[Cyverse.Nappn] NAPPN membership process

The NAPPN has a new membership model! On behalf of the Executive Board, thank you for taking the first step that lays the groundwork for a long sustainable future for the organization.  This would not be possible without your participation, and for that, we thank each of you.

Here is information about the results of our recent vote on the inaugural membership dues, how to purchase a membership, and best to leverage your membership discounts!


  *   Membership voting results
(in accordance with the guidelines established in the by-laws 7.3.6.1)
Distributed email invites (membership list) = 823
Target # of responses (823 * 20%) = 165  Actual = 190
Target # of affirmations (165 * 75%) = 124  Actual = 143


  *   The inaugural annual dues for NAPPN membership will be:
$100 for professionals
            $ 75 postdoctoral/ K-12 educator or community college educator/ retired
            $ 40 student (graduate or undergraduate)
** Membership is valid for one calendar year from the date of purchase.


  *   There will be two ways to purchase a membership:
1.    Visit the NAPPN website and purchase a membership. You will be asked to set up an account in MemberSpace which is designed to give you access to member-only content and assist with membership management. Once completed, you will be provided a discount code that can be used when you register for the NAPPN annual conference to be held from February 22-25, 2022, in Athens, GA.
The discount is equivalent to the cost of membership.
2.    If you register for the NAPPN annual conference without a membership discount code, your annual membership is included with the registration. You will be asked to visit the NAPPN website and set up an account in MemberSpace which is designed to give you access to member-only content and assist with membership management.
