[Cyverse.Nappn] Next AG2PI Field Day: US Aquaculture

The next AG2PI Field Day is on Wednesday, April 21 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM (Central Time, -5 GMT). This field day will focus on US Aquaculture and the challenges this field faces with trait selection and GxE interactions. Caird Rexroad (Program Leader, USDA ARS) will start with an overview of aquaculture - including finfish, shellfish and seaweed - in the US. Jessica Moss Small (Assistant Director of the Virginia Institute of Marine Science) will discuss selective breeding in the Eastern Oyster. Finally, Ken Overturf (Research Geneticist at USDA-ARS-HFCES) will describe his work in identifying the biological basis of specific phenotypes in Rainbow Trout.
