Greetings NAPPN Members:

As discussed at the 2020 Phenome Meeting in Tucson, the Phenome meeting as previously held will not occur in 2021. The NAPPN Executive Board will sponsor a Virtual Meeting in February of 2021 that will include an NAPPN General Assembly meeting, as well as a Scientific Meeting to keep our membership abreast of advances in the field.

We greatly value input from the membership as to developing the scientific content of the Program, as well as the logistics of coordinating the meeting. As such, here is a call for volunteers! If interested, please fill out this form by September 1st<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__iastate.qualtrics.com_jfe_form_SV-5Fbga1giowyCPHuVn&d=DwMFaQ&c=Cu5g146wZdoqVuKpTNsYHeFX_rg6kWhlkLF8Eft-wwo&r=MXeVotDn-TxMVs8GtvAmsw&m=Qvs0cVPmaIaoJjU72Nkao67o_SKa_Vt7nLgqXeaKQ8I&s=4bjl3lcQCnTrG1iYb3Qfehbda1tYL2BucNPdQ0N8Ixo&e=>, and the executive board will review and select members by no later than September 16th. We hope to gather a diverse committee from the broad areas of Plant Biology, Data Science and Engineering, those from various career stages, and those from underrepresented minorities.

We will have two committees, one for Programming and one for Logistics. The Program Committee will be accountable for developing a Scientific Program that provides intellectual content for our membership. The Logistics Committee will be accountable for developing an efficient and effective mechanism for delivering meeting content.

Please don't hesitate to reach out, if questions, and please pass on this opportunity to your scientific networks. Looking forward to a solid slate of potential committee members!

All the best,

Chris Topp, on behalf of the NAPPN Executive Board
