[api-dev] TACC Agave Community Ops

Hi everyone,

With more communication coming in on Agave, and in an effort to improve outbound communication, TACC is taking a serious stab at streamlining communication and also committing someone here to be on deck if staff or users are having Agave issues. I've written things up here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1antG7yLmrbznpfKe6vA7n49hRsjTqHYoChNZ2_IrUSc/edit?usp=sharing If you use Agave regularly, it's worth a read. Different components of that may affect you more or less, since I think we have a good mix of Cyverse staff, collaborators, and power users on this mailing list. A couple of takeaways where we need your help are these:

- please tag Ask posts related to Agave with the "Agave API" tag. Some users already put that tag in place, but if not, let's add it so that we get a notification
- if you are part of the Cyverse Slack team, if you want to grab our attention, please @name us. The person on deck changes every day, but 1) it's listed in that Google doc, and 2) we will route internally if you don't know who to mention

This is a bit of an ongoing experiment. As with anything new, please help us not to let any balls drop, and we'll refine things as we gain experience. If you have feedback on the process, please let me know.

Thanks,
Fonner

I agree. One of the hosts must be living in UTC and one out of it. Digging…
