[Iplant-api-dev] Foundation API (version 1) job submissions to trestles and stampede

All of the jobs that we’ve submitted for the following apps have failed:

* head-trestles-5.97u1
* head-stampede-5.97u2
* GSNAP_stampede-121212u2

The error appears to be the same for both stampede apps; it’s a permission denied error that appears to have occurred during an FTP directory creation command:

Failed to submit job 40249: org.globus.ftp.exception.ServerException: Server refused performing the request. Custom message: Server refused creating directory (error code 1) [Nested exception message:  Custom message: Unexpected reply: 500-Command failed : System error in mkdir: Permission denied
500-A system call failed: Permission denied
500 End.] [Nested exception is org.globus.ftp.exception.UnexpectedReplyCodeException:  Custom message: Unexpected reply: 500-Command failed : System error in mkdir: Permission denied

500 End.]

Here’s the error for the trestles app:

Failed to submit job 40252: java.io.IOException: Error completing remote execution after:

There’s no more information in the error message for the trestles app.

I’m not sure if this is something wrong with the job submission or not. Could someone provide some more information on the causes of these errors?
