Dear Colleagues:

As a group a developers from different backgrounds, beliefs, professions, and affiliations, we have come together to build a community where we can learn how to build better science-enabling applications by sharing the “recipes” we use on our own science gateways. Just like everyone has his or her own killer chocolate chip cookie recipe, we each have our own recipe for building impactful, effective applications.

In an effort to build and strengthen our community, we have developed a survey aimed at better understanding and appreciating the ingredients and methods that go into your gateway’s recipe. We sincerely hope that you will take a few minutes of your time to respond. Once all the results are compiled, we’ll put all the recipes into an online Science Gateway “cookbook,” that will be easily accessible and frequently updated.

Find the survey at: http://tinyurl.com/gwy-cookbook

Please note that survey will take between 10 and 20 minutes and is best done in one session. We realize the questions cover a range of topics -- from
administrative, to operational, to technical and it is perfectly fine for more than one person from your project to complete the survey. We are happy to have multiple perspectives and will aggregate responses as necessary.

We’re not here to judge. Everyone is a winner when there are cookies involved, and everyone is a winner when an application facilitates new, more, or better science.

If you’re looking for more information, you are welcome to join the gateway community calls on Friday's from Noon to 1pm Eastern Time at where we share
our experiences cooking up new projects. To join, dial +1 888 983 3631 and punch the Conference ID: 15785694. Our next call is Friday 13th, Sept and bi-weekly from there.
