[Iplant-api-dev] Cluster in maintenance mode

The system service should give basic up/down info in its standard json response. For uptime info, there is an api you can access. It's beta atm because the naming scheme we're using doesn't seem quite right. It will probably be updated and officially published with documentation in the 2.0 release. In the mean time, here you geaux.
